Hello Dragons!

Hello Dragons!

My name is Georgina Alonso, and I’m proud to be in my 9th year as the school counselor at Del Obispo. As the school counselor, I’m here to support all students in their social-emotional, academic, and college/career growth. School counseling helps children build important life skills like managing emotions, expressing their needs, building self-esteem, solving problems, and much more. I also support students in developing healthy coping skills for challenges such as: academic stress, peer conflict, family changes or moving, grief and loss (including the loss of a beloved pet). No concern is too big or too small. My goal is to support each student’s well-being and help them succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Some of the services I provide include:

-Classroom Second Step Lessons in TK-5th

-Short-term Individual Counseling

-Short-term Group Counseling

-Crisis Intervention

-Conflict Mediation

-Lunch Bunches and Workshops

-Positive Behavior Support

-Resouces and Referrals

Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
